The eagerly anticipated video to Timi Dakolo’s awe-inspiring classic, Great Nation is out – officially and exclusively on- www.youtube.com/timidakolo The song widely considered as one of the most inspiring African- produced pieces of all time has repeatedly left audiences spell bound after every performance. From the closing ceremony of the 2011 National Sports festival in Port Harcourt through the Future Awards (where the video was premiered) to the Headies and countless other events, Timi’s powerful rendition easily penetrates the hearts and inspires the minds of Nigerians of all generations, backgrounds and creed. Great Nation inspires a sense of patriotism in uncommon proportions and offers something to believe in, a great reason to be proud of one’s “Nigerianess” and a belief that indeed, greatness is within our grasp.

Released by Lone Records/ Now Muzik and directed by the multi-award winning Clarence Peters, the video will hit TV platforms by the end of the week.

Timi expressed his happiness with the release of the video thus: “I am delighted that the Great Nation video has finally been delivered and the feedback so far has been wonderful. It was a very challenging exercise, believe me. The process of agreeing on the best treatment for the video to a song of this magnitude in terms of importance was rigourous. Everyone had a bright idea about how it should be visually interpreted but once we started the shoot, everything progressed fluidly. I’m particularly grateful to my friends – and firm believers in the Nigeria project who formed the cast, Clarence and his crew, Cobhams Asuquo, Joan Ekpai, Olaitan Dada and everybody that made this a success. This is indeed, a watershed moment!.” Timi is currently preparing for ‘The Evening’, a fund raising concert for people living with disabilities, scheduled for the 17th of November at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya.

CRYSTALS BAND DAZZLES AT 'STAR REGIONAL DRAW' IN ENUGU

The energy in the crowd was infectious when the 2012 Star Quest Winners ‘Crystals Band’ went on stage on the 12^th of Oct, at the Enugu of the Star Regional Draw. Although the ‘Gbe Sun Mo Mi’ crooners are relatively new to the entertainment industry, they exhibit a good level of professionalism at every performance and remarkably keep their audience glued to the stage. They no doubt gained more fans by their dazzling performance at Blue Island hotel; the venue of the just concluded event.

The band which is currently signed to one of Nigeria's premiere entertainment solutions company - ‘Now Muzik’, has featured in many high profile events and its members are presently working on a debut album with production contributions from top notch producers. The band was hosted few weeks ago at the popular weekly Industry Night Event and their current single ‘Gbe Sun Mo Mi’ off their forthcoming album has been on the radio waves for about a month now.

The Star Regional Draw will be held in Lagos on Friday, Oct 19, 2012 and surely Crystals band will live up to expectation. Also expect five more follow up performances in P/Harcourt on the 26^th of Oct, Benin - 2^nd of Nov, Abuja - 9^th of Nov, Abeokuta – 16^th of Nov and back to Lagos on the 23^rd of Nov.

TIMI DAKOLO TO PREMIERE 'GREAT NATION' VIDEO AT FUTURE AWARDS

Timi Dakolo, arguably Nigeria’s finest RnB vocalist, is preparing to premiere the music video of his latest single - a song that has been tagged by critics as the unofficial national anthem of Nigeria.

The song titled Great Nation will premiere at the prestigious Future Awards billed to hold in Port Harcourt this weekend.

According to Timi Dakolo’s management, Now Muzik, the venue of The Future Awards was chosen because of what the event stood for: a strong, practical commitment to human and capital development, especially in Nigeria.

“Great Nation is the latest in Timi’s strings of captivating classics. It is an epic musical material and resonates with people and it has been adjudged to be Nigeria’s unofficial national anthem. We could not think of any other way to unveil the video than on the stage of a “nation-building” event like Future Awards” says Mr Efe Omorogbe, CEO Now Muzik.

“Music is not just for entertainment, it’s so much more,” reiterated Timi Dakolo who hopes that Great Nation will rebuild and restore Nigeria as a country in midst of the current political and economic situation.

Timi Dakolo who has a philosophy of making good music to set outstanding standards, is a strong believer in the unity of Nigeria. Emerging as the winner of the West Africa Idol in 2007, Timi Dakolo has released socially relevant earthshaking singles like, Let it Shine, Cry, and the wedding smash titled Leke Leke. Great Nation is his latest single off his Beautiful Noise album released in 2011.
