So
much has been said about the entity and, by extension, the future of
Nigeria. many people have proffered solutions to the myriad of
challenges facing the country since the 70s.
As
we marked 13 years of unbroken democratic rule, we all waited to hear
what the governments have in stock for us in the years ahead.
However, Timi Dakolo, had a different idea.
He gave Nigerians an unofficial national anthem that will always be on our conscience as we sing and meditate on it. The emotionally evoking single ‘Great
Nation’ from off the premium edition of his ‘Beautiful Noise’ album, is set to rebuild and restore us as a country.
To Timi Dakolo, music is
not just for entertainment, it’s so much more. He has resolved to make a
mark with his music as he evokes unbelievable emotion with every song.
He is keen on keeping his philosophy of making good music, to
set outstanding standards and to see his seemingly ‘’little light’’ shine.
By virtue of the emotion it
evokes and strength of the lyrics, Great Nation has been adjudged Nigeria’s 'Unofficial National Anthem',
