On Saturday, 14th June
2014, 2Face Idibia held the listening session for his 6th album THE
ASCENSION. The star-studded event took place at Ariz Bar and Grill in
Victoria Island, Lagos.
All the top players in the music
industry were given the opportunity to listen and give feedback about the songs
off the highly anticipated album.
Entertainment industry heavyweights
such as Kenny Ogungbe, Ebuka Obi-uchendu, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Noble Igwe, Olisa
Adibua of Beat FM, Tosyn Bucknor of Top Radio and Omalicha of Rhythm FM were
amongst the VIP guests invited to the private listening session. The event was
hosted by Andre Blaze.
2Face
spoke passionately about the album as he expressed extreme gratitude to all the
guests who took time out of their busy schedules to grace the event. The music
certainly did not disappoint and overall, his guests were thrilled by the
album.
The
recently released single “Let Somebody Love You” featuring Bridget Kelly (USA)
is one of the tracks off the upcoming album. The album features the likes
of Nigerian rappers Vector and Iceberg Slim, Machel Montano (Trinidad), Kim
(France), Fally Ipupa (DRC), and HyperTek label mates Dammy Krane, Rocksteady
and Sir Victor Uwaifo.
THE
ASCENSION is scheduled for a July 2014
release.
